World Pet Expo 2026 brought pet lovers, businesses, advocates, and industry professionals together for four days of activities and discovery at the World Trade Center Metro Manila from September 24 to 27. Organized by Worldbex Services International (WSI), the expo’s second edition carried the theme “The Fur-fect Partner,” celebrating the bond between people and their pets while highlighting the growing pet industry in the Philippines.

The event opened on September 24 with a ceremony hosted by radio DJ and events host Tina Ryan. Industry leaders, government representatives, and distinguished guests attended the opening, including WSI Managing Director Jill Athnie Ang, who described the expo as a platform for bringing the pet industry together and building a stronger community. Messages were also delivered by representatives of the ABS-CBN Foundation, World Trade Center Metro Manila, the Bureau of Animal Industry, the Pasay City government, and the Department of Trade and Industry.

More than 50,000 people registered ahead of the event, surpassing the previous year’s pre-registration turnout. The first edition had welcomed over 35,780 visitors and 16,840 pets, with 122 exhibitors across 229 booths. Building on that debut, the 2026 expo brought together a broad range of exhibitors and experiences focused on dogs, cats, aquatic life, birds, exotic pets, grooming, veterinary care, wellness, pet technology, and retail.

Competitions and showcases were among the event’s highlights. The program featured cat and dog grooming competitions, a cat competition, a rabbit and cavy show, and the Pawshion Show. Aquatic enthusiasts gathered for the World Betta Showdown and the Deep Blue International Molly and Guppy Competition, while other events included the Syrian Hamster Competition, World Bully Competition, and WPE Cluck and Crown fancy chicken and Ayam Serama tabletop show.

Visitors could also attend expert talks, educational seminars, live demonstrations, and interactive activities. Together, the program made the expo more than a marketplace: it provided a space for education, animal welfare, industry development, and connection across the pet community.

By bringing pet owners and industry stakeholders together, World Pet Expo 2026 celebrated the role of pets in Filipino households and the people and businesses working to support their care. Its second edition continued the event’s effort to foster a more connected, informed, and responsible pet community.
