The 18th Philippine Food Expo (PFE), the country’s premier food and beverage trade show transformed the World Trade Center Metro Manila into a hub of Filipino flavors, innovation and business opportunities, welcoming an estimated total of over 26,000 visitors from April 17-19, 2026. 

Spearheaded by the PHILFOODEX Inc. in collaboration with Cut Unlimited Inc as the Official Exhibition Manager, the expo brought together over 300 micro, small, medium  enterprises that showcased regional and food craftsmanship from all over the archipelago. 

With this year’s theme, “Feast of Philippine Flavors to the World,” the Philippine Food Expo featured an expanded exhibition floor, highlighted by the inclusion of country pavilions from Malaysia and India under the International Pavilion. This curated participation fostered greater cross-border collaboration and strengthened global market linkages, contributing to an estimated PhP 1,070,775,000.00 in both booked sales and indicative sales generated during the event’s 3-day run.

Throughout the three-day exhibition, visitors experienced a dynamic lineup of activities and insightful seminars that highlighted the country’s culinary heritage while promoting new innovative industry practices to adapt to today’s trends.  At the heart of the expo, exhibitors engaged directly with trade buyers and fellow industry players while getting feedback from visitors, creating meaningful business connections. 

The event commenced with the ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the pavilions hosted by the Department of Agriculture, featuring the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (AMAS) and the High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP). This was followed by a stirring performance from the Emilio Aguinaldo College Chorale, and an energetic presentation by Intenzyc of the University of Santo Tomas College of Tourism and Hospitality Management.

The formal opening ceremony was then led by esteemed representatives from government and industry, alongside international delegates—underscoring the strong partnerships and shared commitment among national and global stakeholders in advancing the agriculture sector.

Beyond the formal ceremonies, the PFE stage came alive with the interactive live cooking demos from culinary well-known personalities including Chef Abi “Lumpia Queen” Marquez, Chef Gerick Manalo, Chef Emily Peralta, Chef Chris Carangian, Chef JM Sunglao, Chef Wado Siman and Chef MJ Martinez. Attendees were able to witness innovative cooking techniques and well-crafted recipes, making the experience both educational and engaging.

A great comeback this year was “Flair Battle Philippines Flairbartending Competition” hosted by the Philippine Flairtending Tour, where professional bartenders showcased their impressive flairtending skills, technical precision, creativity and showmanship. Emerging as the champion was Mr. Joe Mari Castillo, who will represent the Philippines at the International Bartending Competition this July in Pattaya, Thailand. 

A diverse mix of free seminars, workshop and talks led by industry experts and associations such as Chef Emily Peralta and Chef Chris Carangian, Department of Agriculture-High Value Crops Development Program, Department of Agriculture, GS1 Philippines, Association of Local Artisan Food and Other Producers of the Philippines, Department of Science and Technology, University of Santo Tomas and Halal International Chamber of Commerce and Industries of the Philippines, Inc, providing valuable insights and facts about the food innovation and market trends for aspiring and established entrepreneurs.  

The much-anticipated Culinary Challenges gathered the next-generation’s chefs from 45 schools nationwide, competed in nine different categories: Food Styling & Photography, Philippine Regional Table Setting, Healthy Pasta, Kitchen Masters, PINASarap Breakfast, Creative Filipino Dessert Platter, Mystery Ingredient, PFE Knowledge Challenge & UST Dream Team,  in giving spotlight to the distinctive flavors of the Davao Cuisine. Capping off the event with the Awarding Ceremony that hailed Holy Angel University as this year’s Culinary Challenge Champion and other category winners named:

These fresh harvests are complemented by processed products and preserved goods like fruit jams made from coconut, mango, and jackfruit, which demonstrate the region’s resourcefulness in turning farm produce into value-added products. Ilocos, known for its bold culinary identity, showcases favorites such as Vigan longganisa and the iconic Vigan bagnet, both of which have gained recognition for their distinct flavors and traditional preparation methods. Meanwhile, producers from Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon focus on processed foods, offering fruit preserves, dried fruits, and lesser-known souring agents such as batwan powder and dried kamias, which add depth to Filipino culinary flavors and inspire new recipe development.

Further south, MIMAROPA features snack staples like banana chips and delicate uraro cookies, which are popular not only for their delicious taste but also for their export potential. Bicol, often associated with spicy flavors, takes pride in its cacao industry, with exhibitors from Camarines Sur showcasing tree-to-bar chocolates, cacao tea, cacao vinegar, and even hazelnut chocolate spread. These products highlight the region’s growing reputation as a source of high-quality cacao and innovative chocolate creations.

Meanwhile, the Visayas region emphasizes its rich tradition of sweets and artisanal craftsmanship. Western Visayas draws visitors’ attention with its signature mango products, ranging from jams and dried mangoes to other mango-based confections, celebrating one of the region’s most iconic fruits. Exhibitors from Zamboanga del Sur present a line of premium cacao products, including 100% pure cacao tablea and high-quality dark chocolate bars in 70% and 62% variants. Northern Mindanao and the Davao region highlight the versatility of coconut, offering products such as coconut vinegar, coconut-based chili garlic, and other coconut derivatives. The region also features a vibrant display of fresh tropical fruits like durian, pomelo, and mangosteen, which attract steady crowds eager to taste and purchase these exotic delights. Innovative candy formulations using mangosteen and durian, such as yema and tart treats, showcase the playful creativity of local producers and their ability to reimagine traditional fruits into bite-sized confections. Additionally, the region emphasizes wellness and natural products with offerings like virgin coconut oil, raw dark chocolate tablea, and coconut sugar, aligning with global health trends and consumer preferences.

The 18th Philippine Food Expo (PFE) 2026 officially opens from 17–19 April 2026 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, running daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, bringing together the country’s leading food, beverage, agriculture, and export industry stakeholders in one landmark trade event.

Organized by PHILFOODEX Inc., PFE 2026 continues its legacy as the Philippines’ premier all-Filipino food trade exhibition—now expanding further with a stronger international presence and broader industry participation.

The Opening Ceremonies began with the Department of Agriculture Ribbon Cutting Ceremony leading up to the official opening program of the 18th edition of The Philippine Food Expo led by distinguished government and industry leaders, namely:

Last March 26, 2026, the Philippine Food Expo (PFE) held an important exhibitors’ briefing at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, serving as a crucial step in preparing for the upcoming 18th edition of the country’s premier food and beverage trade event. This gathering brought together representatives from various companies, including micro, small, and medium enterprises, exporters, and retailers, all united by the goal of showcasing the vibrant and diverse flavors of the Philippines. Held in the Luna and Hidalgo Function Rooms on the mezzanine level of the WTCMM Building in Pasay City, the event provided an essential platform for exhibitors to receive vital information, network, and coordinate their efforts for a successful expo scheduled from April 17 to 19, 2026.

The program began with registration, and the issuance of exhibitor kits, which included IDs, gate passes, and complimentary tickets. Following this, the attendees participated in a series of important sessions, starting with welcome remarks from Mr. Ruben L.
