Throughout the four-day event, participants engaged in a diverse range of activities designed to provide knowledge, foster collaboration, and inspire innovation. Attendees took part in technical sessions, forums, and panel discussions that focused on critical issues such as renewable energy integration, research and development breakthroughs, and safety standards. One of the key highlights was the Young Professionals Forum, which aimed to empower the next generation of electrical engineers by focusing on standardization practices, ethical considerations, and leadership development. The forum provided a platform for young engineers to voice their ideas, share experiences, and learn from industry veterans, thereby nurturing a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

The 3E XPO trade show was another major feature of the convention, bringing together industry leaders and exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations in electrical, electronics, and energy solutions. Some of them demonstrated their cutting-edge products, including energy-efficient systems, AI-ready technologies, and smart infrastructure management solutions. These exhibits not only highlighted technological advancements but also emphasized the shift towards sustainable, intelligent, and adaptable energy systems that can meet the demands of a rapidly changing environment. The trade show served as a fertile ground for networking, business opportunities, and knowledge exchange, allowing industry players to forge new partnerships and collaborations.

Networking opportunities were abundant throughout the event, providing a vital platform for engineers, government officials, industry suppliers, and students to connect, share ideas, and discuss future projects. The convention also offered Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points through various seminars and workshops, enabling participating professionals to stay current with industry standards, maintain their licensing requirements, and enhance their skills. This focus on professional growth underscored IIEE’s ongoing commitment to elevating the standards of electrical engineering practice in the Philippines.

Since its establishment in 1975 with just 500 members, the IIEE has experienced remarkable growth and transformation, now boasting over 69,000 members. This impressive expansion reflects the organization’s vital role in uniting electrical practitioners across the country and fostering a community dedicated to advancing the industry. The 2025 convention was not only a celebration of this legacy but also a reaffirmation of IIEE’s leadership in promoting innovation, safety, and sustainability in electrical engineering. It served as a reminder of the collective efforts needed to push the industry forward and address the challenges posed by climate change, technological disruption, and energy security.

Genesis Global Exhibitions and ACE Group, with the support of the ASEAN India Economic Council, Philippine India Business Council, and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is pleased to announce the upcoming Philippine Solar, Power and Energy Expo, co-located with the Philippine Construction and Ceramics Expo, scheduled to take place from July 29–31, 2025, at Function Room 5, SMX Convention Centre, Manila, Philippines.

These exhibitions are proudly supported by the Philippines Solar and Storage Energy Alliance (PSSEA), Society of Philippine Electrotechnical Constructors and Suppliers (SPECS), PHILRECA, Power Professionals Association of the Philippines (PPAP), among others, with additional associations expected to join.

Media Interaction (Press Conference)

To share further insights about the upcoming expos, a Media Interaction (Press Conference) will be held on July 25, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, at the Meeting Room 13, Level 2, SMX Convention Centre, Manila.

Solar Energy: Powering the Philippines’ Future

The Philippines is fast emerging as one of the most dynamic and promising solar energy markets globally. Under the National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) 2020–2040, the government has set ambitious targets—aiming to generate 35% of energy from renewables by 2030, and 50% by 2040. As part of this commitment, the country plans to double its solar output by 2030 and host the world’s largest solar installation by early 2026, featuring 3.5 GW of solar capacity and 4 GWh of battery storage.

In alignment with these goals, the Philippine Solar, Power and Energy Expo will serve as a vital platform for stakeholders across the energy ecosystem—including manufacturers, exporters, distributors, importers, contractors, engineers, and new entrants—to explore collaboration and investment opportunities. The expo expects over 110 exhibitors from India, the Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Egypt, and other countries, with more than 3,000 professional visitors anticipated from across the ASEAN region.

Building the Future: Construction and Ceramics Expo

The Philippine Construction and Ceramics Expo, running concurrently from July 29–31, 2025, is the country’s premier exhibition focused on construction, ceramic, interior, and building materials. It will bring together key players from the construction, housing, infrastructure, and ceramic sectors, offering unmatched opportunities for networking and business development. This event is poised to become a strategic gateway to the Southeast Asian business community and contribute significantly to infrastructure growth in the Philippines and the region.
