The event showcased a comprehensive program that addressed pressing issues and emerging opportunities in the sector. Attendees engaged in discussions on topics such as the implications of the Government Procurement Law, strategies for strengthening global competitiveness through PEZA’s support in procurement and supply chain management for ecozone locators, and the development of group procurement frameworks tailored for small hospitals. Additional topics included optimizing procurement negotiations to maximize value, navigating the challenges of procuring high-tech medical equipment, and planning effective acquisitions like Hospital Information Systems (HIS). The convention also emphasized the importance of digitalization for supplier management, sustainable medical waste practices, and the integration of ethics and integrity into daily procurement operations. Participants learned about digital transformation in hospital procurement processes and explored ways to build the next generation of procurement talent, all aimed at overcoming industry challenges with innovative solutions.
