The Philippine World Building and Construction Exposition, better known as WORLDBEX 2025, officially opened its doors on March 13, 2025, embodying the theme “Beyond Sustainnovation.” This annual event, held at two iconic venues—the World Trade Center Metro Manila and SMX Convention Center Manila—celebrated its 28-year legacy dedicated to excellence and innovation in the construction and design industries. This year, WORLDBEX aimed to push the boundaries of traditional sustainability by introducing groundbreaking green solutions that aligned with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG #9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and SDG #11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
The atmosphere during the opening ceremony was vibrant and energetic, with host Issa Litton leading the proceedings. Founding Chairman Joseph Ang welcomed distinguished guests, including local government leaders such as Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, and Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan. The ceremony underscored WORLDBEX’s commitment to sustainability by highlighting symbolic elements like bamboo, soil, and water—representing renewal and progress.
