Bajaj Philippines officially launched the Wego P5009, its first electric three-wheeler in the local market, on September 22, 2026, in Lipa, Batangas. The launch marks the company’s introduction of an electric three-wheeler for Filipino customers and operators, with the model aimed at passenger transport, deliveries, and other commercial uses.
The Wego P5009 is powered by a 4.5 kW electric motor and a 9.216 kWh battery. Bajaj claims it can travel up to 212 kilometers on a full charge. The vehicle comes with a 2.2 kW charger, and a full recharge takes approximately 4.5 hours. Actual range and charging time may vary depending on road conditions, vehicle load, driving style, battery condition, and access to a suitable charging source.

The model includes four driving modes: Eco, Power, Climb, and Park Assist. These modes are intended to provide drivers options for different operating needs, from everyday driving to routes that require additional climbing capability or careful low-speed maneuvering. The available information does not specify how much performance or range differs between each mode.
Bajaj estimates the Wego P5009’s operating cost at approximately ₱0.80 per kilometer. This estimate is based on an electricity rate of ₱15 per kWh, the battery’s stated capacity, and the company’s claimed driving range. Owners’ actual costs will depend on their electricity provider, charging efficiency, route, cargo or passenger load and how frequently the vehicle is used.

The electric three-wheeler is being positioned for a range of applications, including passenger transport, small-business operations, deliveries, and local government services. For operators, the battery-powered drivetrain could offer an alternative to conventional fuel-powered vehicles. Potential savings will vary, however, according to each operator’s mileage, charging arrangements, maintenance needs, and local energy costs.
The Wego P5009 has an introductory price of ₱329,888 and is available through 38 Bajaj 3S Shops nationwide. Bajaj states that the vehicle, battery, and motor are covered by a warranty of 36 months or 50,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. Prospective buyers can contact a participating dealership for details about availability, financing, service support, and the terms of the warranty.
With the Wego P5009, Bajaj adds another electric three-wheeler to the Philippines’ growing mobility scene. Designed for passenger and commercial use, it brings a new option to operators seeking practical, all-electric transport.
