MANILA, Philippines — Mechanical engineers, industry professionals, technical experts, and engineering companies gathered at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City from October 14 to 17, 2026, for the 74th Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) National Convention, held alongside the 14th Philippine Machinery Exhibition (PHILMACH).

Guided by the theme “Propelling the Profession, Connecting Engineers, Sustaining Excellence, Ensuring Continuity,” the four-day convention brought together members of the mechanical engineering community from across the country. Its professional and technical programs provided opportunities for continued learning, industry discussion, and the exchange of ideas, while networking activities helped connect engineers with peers, technical experts, and potential industry partners.
PHILMACH complemented the convention with a showcase of machinery, equipment, engineering technologies, and industrial solutions. Participating companies presented products and services spanning automation, instrumentation, pumps, valves, flow-control systems, and engineering services. The exhibition gave attendees a chance to explore technologies and learn about solutions relevant to manufacturing, infrastructure, and other industrial applications.
The event also highlighted the role of innovation and sustainability in the sector. First-time participant ebm‑papst SEA showcased energy-efficient ventilation technologies designed to help customers improve operational efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

PHILMACH has grown into a meeting point for companies, startups, manufacturers, and industry organizations, drawing trade visitors and decision-makers from across the engineering and industrial fields. Alongside international participation, the exhibition aims to recognize the achievements of Filipino manufacturers and producers, promote homegrown products, and encourage collaboration with international partners.
By bringing the convention and exhibition together, PSME and PHILMACH created a space for attendees to build professional connections, discover new technologies, and engage with developments shaping engineering and manufacturing in the Philippines. The gathering underscored the value of continuing education and industry collaboration in supporting the profession’s growth.
