From July 10 to 12, 2026, the Travel Madness Expo (TME) was held at the SMX Convention Center Manila, specifically in Halls 1 to 4, serving as a premier event for Filipinos passionate about travel. Now in its third year, the expo was spearheaded by Chairperson Maria Paz Alberto and supported by the Department of Tourism, leading airlines such as Philippine Airlines and Malaysia Airlines, as well as reputable travel agencies, hotels, resorts, and tourism partners. Under the theme “Where Every Journey Tells a Story — From Madness to Memories,” the event emphasized travel as a meaningful experience that goes beyond just visiting a destination.

Throughout the three days, visitors had the opportunity to engage directly with airlines, tourism boards, and accredited travel agencies to access exclusive travel deals, bundled packages, and curated itineraries that are often unavailable through online booking platforms. The expo showcased both local attractions and international destinations, including Georgia, the Czech Republic, Papua New Guinea, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Guam. A total of 179 exhibitors participated, reflecting the changing interests of Filipino travelers—ranging from millennials and families to retirees seeking cultural, experience-driven, and leisure travel.

The event also aimed to promote domestic tourism and encourage Filipinos to explore destinations throughout the year, not just during peak seasons or holidays. By bringing together key industry players, the expo sought to sustain travel momentum, strengthen connections between local and international partners, and expand opportunities for meaningful travel experiences.

Official partners like Philippine Airlines and Malaysia Airlines played vital roles, with Metrobank offering special perks such as “Book Now, Pay Later” options and early access to the Travel Preview Sale. Admission tickets were priced at P100 for the general public and P70 for students, senior citizens, and individuals with disabilities, with free entry available for Metrobank cardholders presenting valid IDs.
