The ongoing “Trabaho, Turismo, Asenso: Philippine Tourism Job Fair 2025” officially opened on October 9 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, attracting thousands of enthusiastic job seekers eager to explore career opportunities in the rapidly recovering and expanding Philippine tourism industry. Organized through a collaborative effort between the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), this fourth installment of the annual event aims to serve as a vital platform for connecting Filipinos with employment in tourism and its allied sectors. The event runs until October 11, and during this period, participants have the chance to explore a wide array of job openings in fields such as hospitality, food service, wellness, travel, and cultural tourism—sectors that are crucial to the sustained growth and global competitiveness of the country’s tourism industry.

This year’s job fair is particularly significant as it builds on previous successes, having facilitated over 21,000 tourism-related job placements in past editions. The initiative is designed to support a diverse range of job seekers, including fresh graduates, TESDA scholars, and displaced workers who are looking for new employment pathways. It also aims to strengthen industry linkages, promote skills development, and encourage career advancement within the tourism sector. The event also underscores the government’s commitment to creating more inclusive opportunities, ensuring that marginalized groups and local communities can benefit from the tourism boom.

Industry stakeholders, including representatives from hotel associations, wellness industry leaders, and suppliers, were present during the opening ceremony, demonstrating strong industry support for the event’s goals. The participation of over 50 employers promises a broad spectrum of job opportunities, ranging from entry-level positions to managerial roles, providing a comprehensive platform for employment and career growth. The event also offers skills training workshops, resume assistance, and on-the-spot interviews to maximize the chances of employment for attendees.

The “Trabaho, Turismo, Asenso” Philippine Tourism Job Fair 2025 continues to serve as a cornerstone initiative in the country’s efforts to rebuild and revitalize its tourism industry. It aligns with the government’s broader strategic goals of creating sustainable livelihoods, encouraging industry innovation, and fostering Filipino talents who can deliver world-class service. As the event progresses, it remains a testament to the resilience, talent, and optimism of Filipinos eager to contribute to the country’s economic and cultural renaissance through tourism.
